2 loves, 1 place

September 17, 2009

This week Whole Foods Market purchased enough renewable energy credits from wind farms to equal 100% of the Company’s electricity use in its North American locations.   So, let’s add this to Music and Veganism’s excellent list of reasons in favor of shopping at WF.

This article makes me so very excited.  It’s hard to sit still.  So excited.

Nearly 90 percent of this purchase is helping to fund E.ON Climate & Renewables’ recently-completed Texas-based Panther Creek wind farm.  SO COOL!!!!  E.ON Climate & Renewables is headquartered in Chicago, with development offices in Austin and Denver.

Mr. E.ON, they started passing out layoffs in my department last week.  Do you need another great lawyer who passionately supports your line of business and works exceptionally well with clients?  Chicago, Austin, Denver, I’d be a happy girl in any of those places, though I’m leaning towards Denver these days.  I’d be very good at helping you develop Denver.

Let’s face it, regardless of whether I’m the next to be laid off, it’s imperative that I quit working for Big Oil and living in Houston.  cough* gag* snort* hiccup*  i need cleaner air, and a less oppressive climate.

It’s go-ing to happen (singing).  So very excited.   Smiling ear to ear.
